For the past 5 weeks, CVAC, the SCRAP Gallery and a group of adventurous youngsters have participated in the first ARTventure Summer program. ARTventure has taken us around the world. We have been enchanted by new cultures, foods, traditions and the art forms each location provided. We made everything from intricately patterned dot art (stipple point) inspired by the ancient language and art forms of Australia to one of a kind insects based on the species found in the rain forest of the Amazon. All our projects made use of recycled and repurposed materials.

It's amazing to know that we can travel the world yet never leave the home. Important goals of ARTventure were that each child walk away with a better understanding of the world, it's diverse and rich cultures and art forms but are also be inspired to seek their own journey- an adventure that can take them anywhere their creative natures provide.
